What is CERS

CERS export declaration, filed right, before your goods leave Canada.

The Canadian Export Reporting System (CERS) is the CBSA’s electronic system for reporting commercial exports from Canada. When a declaration is required, we prepare and submit it on your behalf — accurately, and within CBSA’s reporting deadline for your mode of transport.

Why it matters

Non-compliance has real consequences

Missed or inaccurate declarations are enforceable

Under the Reporting of Exported Goods Regulations, failing to report — or reporting late or incorrectly — can result in monetary penalties (AMPS), detained goods, or seizure. You remain responsible for your export reporting even when we file on your behalf.
